What is Freedom On The Fly?
Freedom On The Fly is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization where the serenity of fly fishing meets the spirit of camaraderie among military veterans. Our organization is dedicated to serving those who have served our nation, both disabled and non-disabled veterans. By embracing the peaceful, reflective nature of fly fishing, we provide a sanctuary for veterans to reconnect, find solace, and rediscover a sense of belonging within a community that understands the depth of their experiences.
Our Focus
Our primary focus is on disabled veterans, but our ultimate aim is to uplift all the veterans in Central Texas. We ensure that every dollar donated goes directly to serving local veterans. We want our supporters to have the peace of mind that their contributions will be used to help veterans in their respective communities.
Promote Mental Health:
Engaging with nature and the
meditative act of fly fishing can significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and
depression.Build Community:
Providing a platform for veterans to
share stories, experiences, and support, reinforcing the bonds of military
